Maria Agapova serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, teaching Medical Risk Analysis & Management since 2013 and advising Practicum students. She concurrently holds an affiliate faculty position at the UW CHOICE Institute.
Her expertise spans health economics and outcomes research within medical affairs, with significant industry experience at Gilead Sciences (current Associate Director of US Medical Affairs), AbbVie, and Teva Pharmaceuticals. Her academic focus centers on biomedical regulatory affairs, risk management frameworks, and patient access initiatives through the MS in Biomedical Regulatory Affairs (BRAMS) program.
As faculty advisor for PHRMRA 548 Practicum, she mentors graduate students in regulatory science applications while maintaining active industry engagement in pharmaceutical policy and quality-of-care optimization.
