Mari Svendsen

Mari Svendsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Leadership and Organization within the School of Communication, Leadership and Marketing at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences. She holds a PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology (2015) from Aarhus University/Amsterdam Business School and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Aarhus University.

Her research focuses on leadership dynamics, organizational behavior, work inclusion, and ethical leadership. Key areas include voice behavior, employee motivation, and the impact of leadership styles on organizational outcomes. She has developed leadership programs for public and private sectors, emphasizing health promotion and work inclusion initiatives.

Dr. Svendsen has led research projects on organizational democracy, ethical leadership, and growth mindset development in academia. She serves on international networks like the OPEN network on organizational participation and has advised Norway’s Directorate of Labour and Welfare.

Her advisory work includes PhD committees and accreditation panels for research fellows. She actively reviews for international journals and has supervised master’s and PhD candidates, emphasizing mentorship and academic rigor.
