Prof. Dr. Margrit Seckelmann holds the Chair of Public Law and the Law of the Digital Society at Leibniz University Hannover, affiliated with the Institute of Legal Informatics. Her work focuses on digital transformation in public administration, data protection, and AI governance. She leads research projects on secure digital identities and interoperability standards, with a strong emphasis on regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies.
Research Interests: Her interdisciplinary studies bridge legal and technical domains, addressing challenges such as digital sovereignty, e-government, and algorithmic accountability. Recent work explores the intersection of AI with administrative law and ethical implications of automated decision-making systems.
