Dr. Margaret Petrie is a Lecturer at the Institute for Education, Community and Society (IECS) within the Moray House School of Education and Sport at the University of Edinburgh. Her work bridges academia and community-based practice, focusing on informal education's role in social justice and participatory democracy. She holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and has over 30 years of experience in community education, including roles in youth unemployment support, gender-based violence prevention, and disability inclusion.
