Dr. Margaret Moss is a Professor in the Faculty of Applied Science, School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia and Director of the UBC First Nations House of Learning. An enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation with Dakhóta lineage, she is the first American Indian to hold both Nursing and Juris Doctorates.

Her research centers on Indigenous health disparities, health equity frameworks, aging policies, and structural determinants of health. She pioneered scholarship through award-winning texts addressing systemic inequities in American Indian health and nursing practice, influencing federal policy reviews on racial health disparities.
