Margaret Kidd is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Supply Chain & Logistics Technology at the University of Houston's College of Technology. She specializes in supply chain logistics, maritime operations, and urban policy with over 15 years of academic and industry experience. Her roles include Program Director for Supply Chain & Logistics Technology (2018–2025), and prior leadership in curriculum development for the TAACCCT LINCS Grant program (2014–2016).
- Education: Doctoral Degree in Urban Planning & Environmental Policy (Texas Southern University, 2012), MA in Cross-Cultural Studies (2008), BBA in Business Administration (1985)
Research focuses on socio-economic impacts of infrastructure projects, sustainable urban development, and workforce training in logistics. She has presented at major conferences including TRB Webinars, the International Physical Internet Conference, and Sustainable Mobility in Logistics symposia. Awards include Houston Women Magazine's Savvy Sister recognition (2017).
Active in professional networks: Export Competitive Maritime Council, CSCMP Roundtable, Houston International Transportation Management Association. Served as Faculty Advisor for Student Industrial Distribution Organization (SIDO) and advisor to the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce.
