Maren Welsch

Dr. Maren Welsch serves as a Lecturer at the Institute of Art, Design and Media Studies at Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts in Kiel, the only art school in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. With approximately 630 study places available across various programs including Fine Arts, Art Teaching at Secondary Schools, Scenography/Interior Design/Spatial Strategies, Communication Design and Industrial Design, the institution provides a unique educational environment focused on artistic and creative development.

Maren Welsch's research interests align with the institution's focus areas, encompassing Art, Design, Media Studies, Visual Arts, Spatial Design, and Communication Design. The Academy emphasizes project-based studies that encourage students to work with real clients early in their academic journey, fostering practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge.

The Center for Media at the Academy serves as an interdisciplinary institution supporting students in successfully realizing their projects.
