Maren Hansen

Maren Hansen is a founding faculty member at Pacifica Graduate Institute and holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Saybrook Graduate School. She is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Starr King School for the Ministry. Hansen co-founded Pacifica's first hybrid learning program and specializes in depth psychology, with a focus on mythological studies and their applications to female psychology, spirituality, and leadership models.

Her academic contributions include authoring Mother Mysteries and Teachers of Myth, as well as designing a myth-based curriculum for adolescent psychological development. Hansen studied extensively with Joseph Campbell and served as a board member of the Joseph Campbell Library and Archives.
