Mareike Deuker

Mareike Deuker is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Scientific Coordinator at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPIP) in Mainz, Germany, within the Working Group on Physical Chemistry of Polymers led by Prof. Katharina Landfester.

Her educational background includes:

Dr. Deuker specializes in nanocarrier characterization with emphasis on protein interactions using asymmetric flow-field flow fractionation (AF4), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), microscale thermophoresis (MST), and flow cytometry. Her research bridges nanotechnology and biomedicine to advance drug delivery systems by elucidating nanocarrier behavior in biological environments. This work integrates physical chemistry principles with biomedical applications to optimize therapeutic efficacy.

As scientific coordinator for Collaborative Research Center (CRC 1066), she organizes academic symposia and leads science communication initiatives. Her role encompasses strategic planning for interdisciplinary research dissemination and fostering collaborations within the polymer research community.

She actively contributes to the Physical Chemistry of Polymers working group at MPIP, focusing on polymer-based nanomaterials development for biomedical applications through experimental characterization and data-driven analysis.
