Marcus Turner is the Director of Undergraduate Media Studies Programs and Assistant Professor of Filmmaking at The New School's School of Media Studies. He holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and a B.A. from The University of Cincinnati. His research focuses on African-American and World Cinemas, the intersection of Jazz and Cinema, and innovative documentary practices.
