Marcus Kölling

Dr. Marcus Kölling is Chancellor and CFO of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management as of July 2018. Born in Minden on June 25, 1973, he holds a Diplom-Kaufmann from HHL Leipzig and a PhD from Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) with research on intercultural knowledge management. Prior roles include director of CLIC (Center for Leading Innovation and Cooperation), established at HHL in 2006 to foster innovation collaboration with over 60 companies. He previously led the family-owned Kölling Group (glass industry) from 2011 to 2018 as its managing director before transitioning to academia full-time.

His professional journey bridges academic research and industry leadership, focusing on innovation ecosystems, cross-cultural business strategies, and organizational cooperation. CLIC remains a key platform for applied research in innovation management and strategic partnerships.
