Marcus J. Howell

Marcus J. Howell is an Associate Professor in the Art and Design Department at Missouri State University. He holds an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (2001) and a BFA in Design with an emphasis in image production from Southwest Missouri State University (1996). His teaching responsibilities include courses such as Printmaking 1 and 2, Independent Study in Printmaking and Drawing, and Graduate Studio courses.

Professionally, he has served as a juror for multiple art exhibitions, including 'Surreal Salon IV' (2014), 'Object/Abject: The Figure In Contemporary Printmaking' (2014), and the 'Washington Printmakers National Small Works' exhibition (2010). He has also participated in the 'AMOA 600 Biennial Printmaking' (2013) and received the Ruth and Erich Fischer Memorial Award for Originality in Graphics (2009).
