Marco Veronese Passarella is a Lecturer in Economics at the Economics Division of Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. He is also affiliated with the University of L’Aquila, where he holds the title of professor and teaches economic policy and international economics. He is a co-investigator and work-package coordinator in the JUST2CE project, leading the Leeds University Unit.

Marco's research centers on monetary economics, macroeconomic modeling (especially Stock-Flow Consistent models), theories of value and distribution, and the history of economic thought. He has contributed extensively to critiques of mainstream models like IS-LM and promotes Post-Keynesian and ecological macroeconomic frameworks. His recent work integrates macroeconomic models with environmental systems, reflecting a growing interest in sustainable transitions.
His recent publications and presentations reveal a strong focus on monetary circuit theory, SFC modeling, and just transition policies. He actively develops and shares open-source R, Python, and EViews codes for replicating foundational models from Godley and Lavoie, contributing significantly to pedagogical and research tools in the field.
