Marco Tortoriello is a Full Professor of Strategy and Organizations at Bocconi University and currently serves as Head of the Department of Management & Technology. He previously held roles as Associate Professor at IESE Business School and Assistant Professor at HEC Paris. His academic journey includes a PhD and MS in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.

Research Focus: Tortoriello's work centers on informal network relationships within and across organizations. He examines how social networks influence knowledge management, innovativeness, and organizational performance. Key themes include intra/inter-organizational ties and their strategic implications.
Teaching & Leadership: He teaches modules on business strategy, strategy execution, social networks, and organizational change across undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, and executive education programs. From 2017–2020, he served as Associate Dean for the Masters Division at SDA Bocconi.
Editorial Role: Since 2019, he has been an Associate Editor at the Academy of Management Journal.
