Marco T. Morazán is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Seton Hall University, where he also serves as the Computer Science Graduate School Adviser. His research focuses on Implementation of Programming Languages, Functional Programming, and Computer Science Education. He has authored books such as Programming-Based Formal Languages and Automata Theory (2023) and Animated Program Design (2022), and has edited multiple conference proceedings.
His research interests include formal languages, automata theory, and the application of functional programming in education. He has developed tools like FSM (Functional State Machines) and While Loops for Animated Program Design, which are available on GitHub. His work emphasizes visualization techniques to enhance student understanding of complex concepts like nondeterminism, regular expressions, and Turing machine composition.
