Marco Kalz

Marco Kalz is a full professor and UNESCO Chair of Open Education at the Open University of the Netherlands. He is affiliated with the Institute of Education and serves as a fellow of the Interuniversity Center for Educational Sciences (ICO) and the Dutch research school Information and Knowledge Systems (SIKS).

• Research focuses on open education, pervasive technologies, and formative assessment for self-directed lifelong learning
• Secured approximately 2 Mio EUR in research funding over the past five years
• Active in European projects and educational innovation at the Open University of the Netherlands
• Elected President of EATEL (European Association of Technology-Enhanced Learning)
