Marco Infurna is a Full Professor of Romance Philology and Linguistics at the Department of Comparative Linguistic and Cultural Studies, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He maintains an active research and teaching profile, with office hours held on Mondays at Ca' Bernardo. He also serves as the contact person for internships/traineeships for the three-year degree course in Languages, Civilizations and Language Sciences, specifically for the Philological area.
Professor Infurna's research interests focus on medieval Romance literature, particularly French and Italian medieval epics, Arthurian legends, chansons de geste, and textual criticism. His work demonstrates expertise in analyzing the transmission and adaptation of medieval narratives across cultural boundaries, with special attention to works like "Entrée d'Espagne," "Roman d'Hector et Hercule," and Arthurian cycles. His scholarship spans critical editions, translations, and analytical studies of medieval texts, with a consistent focus on manuscript traditions and textual variants.
