معرفی
Marco Giorgetti is an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna's Department of Industrial Chemistry, specializing in Analytical Chemistry. He holds roles as Director of the Second Cycle Degree in Advanced Spectroscopy in Chemistry and coordinates the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree program in the same field. His research focuses on structural and electronic characterization of materials using X-ray absorption spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and synchrotron techniques. He has supervised over 20 graduate students and organized numerous international conferences, including the Winter School on Spectroscopy and the ISECap Meeting. Giorgetti has contributed to 95+ peer-reviewed articles and coordinated over 30 synchrotron projects at facilities like ESRF and ELETTRA. He is an active member of scientific societies such as the Electrochemical Society and has served on evaluation panels for funding agencies in multiple countries.
- Education: Master in Chemistry (University of Camerino, 1993); PhD in Chemical Sciences (University of Camerino & Université Paris-Sud, 1998).
- Research Highlights: Cover articles in Dalton Transactions, ChemElectroChem, and Metallomics; ELETTRA Highlights (2011, 2015, 2019).
- Grants: Coordinated PRIN projects on high-entropy materials for batteries and synchrotron-based studies.
- Teaching: Courses in Analytical Chemistry and Instrumental Techniques at bachelor/master levels, plus doctoral training programs.
His work integrates advanced spectroscopic methods to study battery materials, focusing on structural dynamics and electrochemical performance. He emphasizes sustainable energy storage solutions, particularly through innovative cathode design and material characterization under operando conditions.
