Dr. Marco Fossati is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, where he leads the FASTT-Lab (Future Air-Space Transportation Technologies) and is a member of the Aerospace Centre of Excellence (ACE). He holds a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Politecnico di Milano and has prior experience as Associate Director of McGill University's CFD Laboratory and Adjunct Professor. His research focuses on multiphysics non-equilibrium aerodynamics, data-driven reduced order methods, and aerodynamic design for next-generation aircraft and UAVs. He has contributed to projects like the EU-funded INDIGO initiative and leads studies on atmospheric re-entry aerothermodynamics, drone logistics networks for healthcare, and resilient airport operations.
