Marco Controzzi is an Associate Professor at the Biorobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. He specializes in advanced prosthetics and medical robotics, focusing on improving human lives through artificial devices like myoelectric hands and neuroprosthetics. His research integrates sensory feedback systems, robotic control algorithms, and biomechanical design to enhance prosthetic functionality and user interaction.
Education: M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa (2008), Ph.D. in Biorobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (2013). He founded the spin-off company Prensilia Srl, commercializing robotic solutions. Key affiliations include the ARTS-Lab and Human-Robot Interaction Laboratory at Sant’Anna.
Research interests span prosthetic design, haptic interfaces, neural feedback systems, and clinical applications for amputees.
