Marco Billi is a Research Fellow at the Department of Legal Sciences, University of Bologna, and a PhD candidate in Law, Science, and Technology (LAST-JD) since November 2021.
His educational background includes:
- Law Degree (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Bologna (2020)
- High School Diploma from Oak Park High School, Manitoba, Canada (2014)
His research centers on the intersection of law and artificial intelligence, with a primary focus on the explainability and transparency of AI systems. He employs rule-based and case-based approaches to address challenges in the Philosophy of Law (scientific-disciplinary sector IUS/20). His work aims to bridge the gap between technical AI systems and legal accountability.
