Marcin Pauk is an Assistant Professor of Medieval History at the University of Warsaw's Faculty of History, affiliated with the Department of Medieval History since 2009. Previously, he served as a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2002–2015). He holds a PhD from the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw (2005) and a postdoctoral degree (2017). His research focuses on social and political history of Central Europe, particularly the Czech lands and the German Reich (10th–13th centuries), as well as medieval canon law, Christian acculturation, and the role of saints' cults in political contexts.

His work examines the genesis of medieval social elites, migration patterns, and the interplay between religious institutions and political power. A key publication is Działalność fundacyjna możnowładztwa czeskiego... (2020), analyzing elite foundations and their social contexts in medieval Czech lands.
