Marcin Nicoś

Marcin Nicoś, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Pneumology, Oncology and Allergology at the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Lublin. His work integrates clinical practice with translational research in respiratory oncology and molecular diagnostics.

The research interests of Dr. Nicoś center on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with a focus on genetic mutations, particularly EGFR, biomarker discovery, gene expression profiles, and their implications for prognosis and treatment response. His work spans molecular pathology, tumor genetics, and clinical outcomes in lung adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma, especially in relation to smoking and demographic factors.

With 93 documented publications and participation in multi-center research, his scholarly output reflects sustained engagement in advancing precision medicine in oncology. He has led three research projects and contributed to institutional research infrastructure.
