Marcin Cichy

Dr. Marcin Cichy is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin. He specializes in catalysis, chemical sciences, and energy conversion, with a focus on glycerol reforming and nanoparticle synthesis.

• Education: Licencjat (2004), Master's (2007), and PhD (2017) in Environmental Protection from UMCS Faculty of Chemistry.
• Professional Affiliation: Employed since 2010, currently as Adiunkt (Assistant Professor).

Research Interests span catalysis, energy, and environmental chemistry, particularly in glycerol reforming for syngas production, nanoparticle catalysts, and carbon deposition resistance. His work often utilizes FTIR spectroscopy and oscillating microbalance techniques.

Scientific Contributions include publications on nickel-rein catalysts, hydroxyapatite, and biodiesel byproducts. He has participated in international training programs such as the 'inGAP-NANOCAT Summer School in Catalysis' in Norway.
