Marcia Burden

Marcia Burden is Clinical Professor directing the Domestic Violence/Divorce Law Clinic at Southern University Law Center. Her practice and teaching focus on family law, child protection, and domestic violence intervention. Served as Juvenile Court Referee and East Baton Rouge Public Defender specializing in child advocacy.

J.D. from SULC (1990) with undergraduate degrees from LSU and University of Southwestern Louisiana. Board service includes organizations advancing protections for women and children. Developed CLE trainings on domestic violence and juvenile law procedures.
