Müller specializes in intellectual history and the history of ideas during the early 20th century, with concentrated focus on minority rights in the interwar period. His research examines Jewish identity formation within German Empire frameworks, philosophical anthropology of Günther Anders, and sociological dimensions of Jewish cultural politics. Key methodologies integrate archival analysis with theoretical frameworks from critical theory and minority studies.
His publication trajectory reveals consistent engagement with Jewish historical epistemology across seven years. Recent 2024 work analyzes imperial German Jewish belonging through Brann and Freudenthal's perspectives, while 2019-2021 outputs address minority diplomacy and Nuremberg trials justice mechanisms. Earlier contributions (2012-2014) establish foundations in linguistic politics and sociological frameworks within Jewish encyclopedia projects, demonstrating interdisciplinary synthesis of philosophy, history, and sociology.
