Dr. Marcel Kaganovskaya serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Graduate Nursing at Felician University, with dual certification as Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner plus credentials in Critical Care and Vascular Access. He maintains active clinical practice at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center's Department of Surgery and founded Mindful Cognition psychiatric practice to serve marginalized communities.
His educational background includes:
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Wagner College focusing on disaster preparedness
- MSN as Family Nurse Practitioner from Wagner College
- Post Master's Certificate as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Fairleigh Dickinson University
Research interests center on vascular access innovation, psychiatric healthcare access, and surgical patient frailty. He developed an internationally adopted vascular access training curriculum implemented at Hong Kong's Tseung Kwan O Hospital and advocates for full practice authority for Nurse Practitioners in New Jersey through legislative channels.
