Marcel G.L.C. Loomans

Marcel G.L.C. Loomans is an Associate Professor in the Department of the Built Environment at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research focuses on Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), particularly thermal comfort, air quality, and ventilation systems. He has advised over 60 MSc students and 5 PhD students, and his work spans healthcare environments, sustainable energy, and computational fluid dynamics.

Education: PhD in 1998 (topic: indoor airflow measurement/simulation), followed by roles at TNO and TU/e. He has led numerous national/international projects, including the DREAm initiative and CLAIRE air quality programs. His expertise includes building physics and ventilation system design.
