Marc Yeste Oliveras

Marc Yeste Oliveras is a University Professor at the Department of Biology and ICREA Acadèmia researcher at the University of Girona. He serves as director of the Institute of Agro-Food Technology (INTEA) and leads the TechnoSperm Reproduction Biotechnology Center. He teaches at the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and Sciences, and contributes to the Molecular Biology and Biomedicine and Food Biotechnology master's programs.

His research focuses on mammalian reproduction across species (human, equine, porcine, bovine, ovine, feline, and canine), with emphasis on sperm physiology, oocyte in vitro maturation, gamete/embryo cryopreservation, reproductive aging, and fertility preservation. His work has received European Commission funding through FP7, H2020, and Horizon Europe programs.

Editorial roles: Editor-in-Chief of Animal Reproduction Science, Senior Editor of Scientific Reports, Associate Editor of multiple journals including BMC Biology and Frontiers in Physiology. He has reviewed for over 130 international journals and evaluated research projects for national/international agencies.
