Marc Völkenrath

Marc Völkenrath is a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Equipment Design within TU Dortmund University's Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering. He joined the university in 2025 after a year in industrial fire protection. Previously, he completed his chemical engineering education at TU Dortmund (2014-2023), including a bachelor's thesis on text-mining taxonomies and a master's thesis on ontology-based kinetic parameter integration for catalysis simulations.

His research expertise spans:

• Data modeling frameworks
• Digitalization of catalytic reaction systems
