معرفی
Marc Tetel is the Allene Lummis Russell '46 Professor of Neuroscience at Wellesley College, where he conducts research on ovarian hormone action in the brain. His work focuses on how estradiol and progesterone regulate gene expression and behavior in rodents, with recent emphasis on proteomics-based approaches to identify novel hormone-interacting proteins.
- Education: B.A. from Northwestern University, Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts Amherst
Research Interests: His lab investigates hormone-receptor-coregulator interactions in specific brain regions, aiming to understand mechanisms linking hormones to diseases like Alzheimer’s and cancers. Collaborations span Wellesley, U.S. institutions, and international partners.
Teaching: He teaches courses across levels in the Neuroscience Program, including Introduction to Neuroscience (NEUR100) and Neuroendocrinology (NEUR315), covering topics from molecular neuroscience to human disorders and neuroendocrine axes.
