Marc Sharpe

Marc J. Sharpe is an Adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University (SMU), affiliated with the Department of Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. He is also the founder and chairman of The Family Office Association (TFOA), a global peer network for single family offices established in 2007. His career spans 25+ years in investment banking (Goldman Sachs, Wasserstein Perella), venture capital (founding Born Global Ventures in the UK), and strategic initiatives at Dell Inc. He currently serves as an Operating Partner at Satori Capital, LLC, focused on conscious capitalism.

• Education: MA in Economics from Cambridge University, MPhil in Economics from Oxford University, and MBA from Harvard Business School.

His research centers on the Single Family Office Industry, emphasizing co-investment, education, and best practices for family offices. At SMU, he teaches course CISB 6227. He has contributed to community initiatives through roles on the Board of the Holocaust Museum Houston, HBS Houston Angels, and investment committees for Texas-based foundations.
