Marc Kohli

Marc Kohli, MD is a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He serves as the Medical Director of Imaging Informatics for UCSF Health and Associate Chair of Clinical Informatics in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. His clinical and research focus spans radiology informatics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, abdominal imaging, and global health equity. He co-leads Imaging IT operations at UCSF, overseeing clinical services and informatics infrastructure.

Dr. Kohli completed his medical training and residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, with a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Informatics. His expertise includes imaging informatics, telemedicine, and global outreach initiatives. He has been recognized with awards such as the Extra-Mile Award for Excellence in Global Outreach (2015) and contributions to IT and informatics (2010).

His research emphasizes AI integration in radiology workflows, data standards (e.g., Common Data Elements), and healthcare equity.
