Marc Guinjoan

Marc Guinjoan is an Assistant Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), affiliated with the Department of Political Science and Public Law. He holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2012) and has led several research projects.

  • REPBIAS (Ministry of Science and Innovation): Analyzing electoral institution impacts on democratic representation.
  • ATTCLIMATE (Ministry of Science and Innovation): Studying public attitudes toward climate change policies.
  • TaCT-FoRSED (Horizon Europe): A €2.5M EU-funded project tackling conspiracy theories through democratic resilience.

Research Interests: Guinjoan focuses on political behavior and elections, electoral systems, populism, and climate change policy. His work often bridges comparative politics and political psychology, with a particular emphasis on territorial preferences and decentralization.

• Co-authored a 2025 SAGE article on sovereignty referendums and partisan dynamics.
• Published experimental findings on climate policy acceptability in 5centims.cat.
