Marc Gaden is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, Michigan State University, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School for Environment and Sustainability, University of Michigan. He also serves as Communications Director and Legislative Liaison for the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, a US/Canadian agency established by treaty to improve the Great Lakes fishery. His career spans over two decades of governmental and academic work focused on the Great Lakes region.

In academia, Marc teaches courses such as Global Water at the University of Michigan and contributes to literature on environmental governance and cooperative fishery management. His professional experience includes roles in the U.S. House of Representatives’ Great Lakes Task Force and legislative work for Congressman Dennis M. Hertel (D-MI), covering environmental, transportation, and social policy issues.
