Marc Duran Sala serves as a Lecturer and Doctoral Assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC) and the Laboratory of Urban and Environmental Systems (URBES). He concurrently pursues doctoral studies in the Civil and Environmental Engineering program at EPFL.
His research focuses on urban and environmental systems with emphasis on sustainability and planetary-scale challenges. As an educator, he leads the innovative course "Adventure on Planet B" (PENS-231), which employs cosmic journey narratives to explore Earth's environmental crises and solution frameworks, bridging civil engineering, ecological systems, and sustainable development.
