Marc Deisenroth

Marc Deisenroth is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Computing within the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London. His affiliations include AI for healthcare, the Artificial Intelligence Network, and the Machine Learning Network. He previously held roles as Research Fellow at Imperial College (2013), Senior Research Scientist & Group Leader (Learning for Control) at TU Darmstadt (2011–2013), and Research Associate at the University of Washington (2010–2011). His research focuses on cognitive sciences, artificial intelligence, and interdisciplinary engineering fields.

Deisenroth completed his PhD in 2009 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, with research conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics (2006–2007) and the University of Cambridge (2007–2009). His work bridges machine learning, control systems, and applied engineering, with a particular emphasis on human-like computing and healthcare applications.
