Marc Achermann is a Full Professor at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture (HSLU), Switzerland, holding roles as Head of the Institute of Architecture (ad interim) and Head of the Institute of Electrical Engineering IET. He specializes in nanotechnology, semiconductor physics, plasmonics, and ultrafast spectroscopy. His academic journey includes a PhD in Experimental Physics from ETH Zurich (2001) and postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Professional roles include Program Director of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Head of Research and Development at Sigrist Photometer AG.
