Mar Golub is Associate Professor of Politics at Scripps College, holding a Ph.D. in Political Science from UC San Diego, M.A. from Claremont Graduate University, and B.A. from Macalester College. Her research examines the intersections of race, law, and power through frameworks including critical race theory, abolition studies, and African American political thought.
Her scholarship analyzes constitutional dimensions of racial equality, racial capitalism, and historical resistance to civil rights. The monograph 'Is Racial Equality Unconstitutional?' (Oxford University Press, 2018) explores how equal protection jurisprudence perpetuates racial hierarchies.
Awards include:
