María Paula Ghiso

María Paula Ghiso is a Professor of Literacy Education and Department Chair in the Department of Curriculum & Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds an Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and degrees from New York University. Her research focuses on literacy in multilingual and transnational contexts, early literacy, children's literature, and participatory methodologies, with a strong emphasis on immigrant communities and urban education settings.
