Manuela Ramos Marques da Silva

Manuela Ramos Marques da Silva is an Associate Professor at the Physics Department of the University of Coimbra's Faculty of Sciences and Technology. She holds a Doutoramento in Experimental Physics (2002) and an Agregado (2010) from the University of Coimbra. Her career spans over two decades, starting as an Assistant Professor in 1997 and advancing to her current rank in 2019. Dr. Silva specializes in crystallography, materials science, and optical properties of molecular materials.

Her research focuses on structural and magnetic properties of compounds, nonlinear optical materials, and solid-state chemistry. She has published 225 articles, 3 book chapters, and supervised 5 master's theses. Notable contributions include studies on polymorphic systems, drug formulations, and luminescent materials.

Dr. Silva has led 2 major research projects and collaborated with 379 researchers. Her work spans from fundamental crystal structure analysis to applied studies in pharmaceutical co-amorphous systems.
