Manuela Garnica Alonso

Dr. Manuela Garnica Alonso is a researcher at IMDEA Nanociencia, where she joined in February 2018 as a Junior Leader 'La Caixa' Fellow. Her work focuses on the synthesis of 2D materials and the investigation of their structural, electronic, and magnetic properties using scanning probe microscopies.

Her research explores topological surface states in quantum materials, with a focus on atomic-scale imaging and characterization. She previously held a postdoctoral position at the Technical University of Munich as a Marie Curie Fellow.
