Manuela F. Magalhaes is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Malaga's Department of Economic Theory and History. She holds a PhD from the University of Warwick and academic affiliations with the Centre for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics (University of Évora) and the EQUALITAS research group on inequality and poverty. Her research focuses on macroeconomic growth, international economics, environmental economics, income inequality, and networks. She has conducted visiting research at institutions including the University of Amsterdam and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
