Dr. Manuel Becker is a Researcher in the Psychological Diagnostics group under Prof. Dr. Sarah Teige-Mocigemba at the Faculty of Psychology, Philipps University of Marburg. He previously held a position as Researcher in the Department of Social Psychology & Methodology at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (2018–2022) and earned his PhD there in 2017.
Research Interests: Dr. Becker specializes in implicit bias, social cognition, and psychological assessment, particularly focused on indirect measures of prejudice and moral judgment. His work examines the validity of implicit bias tests, the impact of multiculturalism vs. colorblind approaches, and faking effects in experimental paradigms like the Affect Misattribution Procedure (AMP).
