Mansun Law

Mansun Law is a Professor in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI). His research focuses on understanding antibody responses to viral infections, particularly Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), and developing vaccines against it. He holds a PhD in Virology from the University of Oxford and completed his earlier education at the University of Hong Kong.

Law's research projects include studying HCV neutralizing antibodies, vaccine antigen design, autoimmune mechanisms in chronic HBV infections, rheumatoid factor (RF) biology, and food allergy immunology. His lab has contributed significantly to identifying conserved HCV glycoprotein epitopes and advancing vaccine candidates.

His recent publications highlight breakthroughs in HCV vaccine design, structural biology of viral glycoproteins, and antibody responses in animal models. Key collaborations include work with TSRI's Division of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology on peanut allergy studies.

Law has mentored numerous students and postdoctoral researchers, with notable alumni contributing to virology, immunology, and biotechnology fields. His lab is located on TSRI's La Jolla campus, emphasizing translational research in infectious diseases and immune mechanisms.
