Manos Tsakiris is a Professor of Psychology at the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London, and Director of the Lab of Action & Body. He also directs the Centre for the Politics of Feelings at the University of London. His research focuses on the neurocognitive mechanisms underlying self-awareness, body ownership, and agency, blending psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy. He has led major interdisciplinary projects like the ERC-funded INtheSELF and BIAS initiatives. Tsakiris holds prestigious awards including the NOMIS Foundation Distinguished Scientist Award (2016) and has contributed to high-impact studies on climate policy, AI-generated faces, and temporal perception.
