Dr. Manos Antonakakis is an Associate Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, affiliated with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and serving as an adjunct faculty member in the College of Computing (CoC). He leads the Astrolavos Lab, focusing on Attack Attribution, Network Security and Privacy, Intrusion Detection, and Data Mining.

- Co-chair, Academic Committee for Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG)
- Primary Investigator for tens of millions in research funding
His research spans computer and network security, attack attribution, malware analysis, and data mining/machine learning, with a focus on DNS abuse, IoT security, and threat intelligence systems. Google Scholar lists over 20 publications and U.S. patents in cybersecurity domains.
Recent publications demonstrate expertise in malware lifecycle analysis, DNS-based threat detection, CDN vulnerabilities, and IoT network traffic characterization. His work has been recognized through a 2010 Google Research Award and participation in top-tier security conferences as program committee member.
