Manfred Laubichler is a Professor and Director of the School of Complex Adaptive Systems (SCAS) at Arizona State University (ASU). He holds additional roles including Director of the Decision Theater at ASU and External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute. His academic career spans positions at Princeton, Yale, and the University of Vienna, with expertise in theoretical biology, evolutionary developmental biology, and the history of science. Laubichler’s research focuses on evolutionary novelties, the structure of evolutionary theory, and the evolution of knowledge systems. He is affiliated with multiple interdisciplinary centers, including the Center for Evolution and Medicine and the ASU-SFI Center for Biosocial Complex Systems.
