Mandy Burrows is an Associate Professor in Small Animal Medicine (Dermatology) at Murdoch University's School of Veterinary Medicine, housed within the College of Environmental and Life Sciences. She concurrently serves as Associate Dean of Quality and Standards in the School of Veterinary Medicine and holds executive roles including membership in the Murdoch University Academic Council. Her professional roles span academic leadership, curriculum development, and veterinary standards regulation.
Her career includes over 20 years designing and teaching veterinary dermatology curricula, alongside leadership in organizations such as the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS), where she served as Past President and Chief Examiner. Internationally, she has held key positions in the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD) and American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology.
Dr. Burrows' work emphasizes educational excellence, having received Murdoch University's top 10% teaching recognition three times. Her research and professional contributions focus on advancing veterinary dermatology practices and standards, reflected in her awards including the 2023 Frank Kral Award.
