Mandeep Bakshi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, affiliated with the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, followed by postdoctoral appointments at prestigious institutions including the University of Palermo (Italy), Osaka City University, and Tokyo Science University.

His research focuses on sustainable chemistry, functional biomaterials, biomineralization, and aqueous-phase synthesis of bio-nanomaterials using water-soluble proteins and polymers. He has published over 200 research papers in international journals, with a special emphasis on colloids and bio-nanomaterials. His work explores protein self-assembly, crystal growth control, and materials science applications.
